Congratulations to Restaurant Inari for receiving a 2020 Michelin Star! Inari joins five other restaurants in Helsinki with Michelin stars this year.
Michelin Star Restaurants
Inari (Albertinkatu 19 A) defies categorisation, with new wave cooking that combines Finnish ingredients with Japanese philosophy and techniques. They offer a 7/9/12 course menu.
Olo (Pohjoisesplanadi 5) has been the holder of a Michelin star since 2011. Renowned for their seasonal approach, their menu is Scandinavian with a modern and international twist.
Demo (Uudenmaankatu 9–11) has kept its Michelin star for over a decade. This down-to-earth bistro style restaurant draws ideas from French and Scandinavian cuisines and mixes it with the unexpected.
Ora (Huvilakatu 28) opened in late 2017 and gained a Michelin star just a few months after that. It is a small restaurant that seats only 23 people and serves seasonal, locally produced food. They serve a 10-course dinnertime menu.
Palace (Eteläranta 10) was opened in 1952 and has been a pioneer in Finnish cuisine, becoming the first restaurant in Finland to be awarded a Michelin star. It continues that tradition today, creating sophisitcated and innovative dishes with an international flair.
Grön (Albertinkatu 36) focuses on creating high-quality, tasty dishes that are plant-based. They offer two menu options, one of which is 100% vegan. Their four-course menu features seasonal, organic and wild ingredients.
Bib Gourmand
Honorable mention goes to Restaurant Nolla, which joins Gaijin and Boulevard Social as a recipient of a Bib Gourmand. A Bib Gourmand signifies that the restaurant serves quality food at good value.
