Every year there are many music festivals taking place in Finland, and several interesting festivals happen right here in urban Helsinki.
Flow Festival
Flow Festival, the hippest festival in Finland, takes place from the 9th to the 11th of August, 2019 in the historic power plant area of Suvilahti in central Helsinki.
The past few years the event has pulled record crowds, with some 75,000 eager party-goers in 2018. This year’s line-up includes Solange Knowles and Erykah Badu.
Helsinki Festival
In August is the Helsinki festival, an ambitious and exciting line-up of performances across genres. Experience classical and world music, theatre, visual arts, circus acts and more.
The largest arts festival in Finland, it will take place from August 15th to September 1st, 2019.
Weekend Festival
One for the techno music lovers – the Weekend festival is on from July 19th to 20th, 2019. Headlined by Alesso (after Swedish House Mafia pulled out of the gig), this year’s event also features Afrojack, Armin van Buuren, Alan Walker and many more. Click here to find tickets.
Tuska Open-Air Metal Festival
In late June, you’ll see long-haired people dressed in black everywhere. It’s time for the Tuska Open Air Metal Festival, the largest heavy-metal music festival in the Nordic countries.
This year Tuska will be rocking from June 28th to June 30th.
World Village Festival
The World Village festival brings an exotic mix of music, dance, food and theatre to Kaisaniemi, Helsinki on May 25th–26th, 2019.
The event aims to present perspectives on multiculturalism and sustainability through its variety of performances and activities for young and old. Free entry for all!
